One month after its successful participation in the “Foodex Japan” exhibition, the National Union of Agricultural Cooperatives of Greece (ETHEAS) traveled once again with Greek cooperative products, this time to Singapore, taking part in the “FHA Food & Beverage” exhibition. The participation took place within the framework of the approved European promotion program “PDOPGI Hellenic”. The program aims to promote and showcase Greek PDO and PGI cooperative products on a global level, under the central message ‘Welcome to our European Table.’
As in previous years, a press event was held, during which the vision and activities of the National Union of Agricultural Cooperatives of Greece (ETHEAS) were presented, along with a "basket" of its products. This basket includes, among others, olive oil, raisins, cheeses, olives, and other products of the Greek cooperative agricultural sector.
ETHEAS was represented by Mr. Konstantinos Gougoulias, associate of the Organization and Purchasing Manager of the export company “Cooperative Greek Exports S.A. – COGREXPO S.A.”
Among those who visited the booth, as they did last year, were Mr. Jean Pierre De Meerleer Sánchez, Trade Policy Officer of the European Union, and Ms. Iwona Piórko, EU Ambassador to Singapore.At the same time, useful and fruitful B2B meetings are being held, aiming to expand the export performance of Greek agricultural products and strengthen their presence in Asian markets.
It is worth noting that the Asian market currently represents a significant challenge for Greek cooperative products, as the American market is facing difficulties following the announcements by President, Donald Trump regarding the imposition of tariffs on European products.
Through its continuous presence at international exhibitions, ETHEAS seeks to highlight the quality and authenticity of Greek PDO and PGI products, create new business partnerships, and actively support the sustainability and growth of its agricultural cooperatives-members.
