With a strong footprint, an outward-looking orientation, and a meaningful contribution to developments in the agri-food sector, the Agricultural Cooperatives–members of ETHΕAS, along with the export company COGREXPO S.A., made a dynamic presence at the international fresh fruit and vegetable trade event Freskon 2026. The exhibition took place from Thursday, April 23 to Saturday, April 25, at the Thessaloniki International Exhibition Center, attracting the interest of both the domestic and international markets.
For yet another year, ETHΕAS members leveraged their participation in Freskon as a valuable platform for networking and business contacts, strengthening their export potential and exploring new markets. At the same time, they had the opportunity to engage directly with industry professionals and consumers, showcasing the quality and competitiveness of Greek products.
Of particular importance was the founding conference for the establishment of a sectoral association of Greek fresh fruit and vegetable packing companies, held on the initiative of the magazine FRUTONEA, within the framework of the exhibition. According to a relevant announcement, the main objective is the collective representation of the sector and the pursuit of substantial solutions to issues affecting the sustainability and smooth operation of packing facilities.

It is worth noting that Savvas Argyrakis, Second Vice President of ETHΕAS, as well as members of the ETHΕAS Board of Directors—including Nikos Koutliabas and Christos Giannakakis, President of the export company—were present at Freskon 2026. In addition, executives from COGREXPO S.A. attended, confirming the strategic importance of the exhibition for coordinating and strengthening the collective presence of the Greek agricultural sector in international markets.
